How It Works
Data Sources
Euribor rates are fetched directly from the European Central Bank (ECB) Statistical Data Warehouse API — the official source used by banks and regulators. BOE rate comes from the Bank of England public API. Equity indices come from Yahoo Finance via a CORS proxy.
Update Frequency
Rates are cached in your browser for 15 minutes to avoid overloading the APIs. The ECB publishes Euribor fixings on business days at approximately 11:00 CET. Click the Refresh button to force an immediate update at any time.
Using These Rates
Use the current Euribor 6M or 12M as the base rate in the Mortgage Stress Test to model future payment scenarios. Compare property yields against S&P 500 or NASDAQ performance in the Rental vs Invest calculator to make data-driven decisions.
